This medication can cause allergic reactions including hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Immediately contact your doctor in case you experience:

Do not use Orthovisc if you:
• Are allergic to hyaluronan
• Are allergic to gram-positive bacteria proteins (ask your doctor if you are not sure
• Have known allergies to avian or avian-derived products (including eggs, feathers, or poultry)
• Have a bleeding or blood clotting disorder such as hemophilia
• Have an infection in your knee or in the skin around your knee
• This medication should not be used by anyone under 21 years of age

• Are pregnant. It is not known whether Orthovisc will harm your unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medication
