What Dosages and Forms is Breztri Aerosphere Available in?

Breztri Aerosphere is available in the strength of 160 mcg/7.2 mcg/5 mcg (120 Dose) Inhaler. The generic equivalent is not available at the moment.

What is Breztri Aerosphere Used for?

Breztri Aerosphere (Budesonide/Glycopyrrolate/Formoterol Fumarate) is a prescription triple-therapy combination used to control symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The active ingredients in Breztri Aerosphere are Budesonide, Glycopyrrolate, and Formoterol Fumarate. Budesonide is a steroid; Formoterol is a long-acting bronchodilator, while Glycopyrrolate is an anticholinergic. Breztri Aerosphere works by making it easier for you to breathe. It does this by keeping your airways open and reducing inflammation (swelling) in your lungs.

What are the Possible Side Effects of Breztri Aerosphere?

If you experience any of the following common side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately:
• Cold symptoms include stuffy or runny nose, sneezing, sinus pain, and sore throat;
• Cough, hoarse voice;
• Flu symptoms;
• Headache, joint pain, muscle spasms;
• Nausea, diarrhea;
• Throat pain or irritation;

Are there any Precautions and Drug Interactions for Breztri Aerosphere?

Before using the Breztri Aerosphere inhaler, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to budesonide, glycopyrrolate, formoterol, arformoterol, or any other allergies. Breztri Aerosphere is not a rescue inhaler like albuterol or salbutamol inhaler, so you might not feel the effect of the medication immediately. Breztri Aerosphere works by reducing the swelling of the airways and relaxing the muscles in the lungs over time. So, it can take up to 4 weeks or longer before you can feel the full effects of the medication.

Shake the inhaler well before using it. Inhale this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily (in the morning and the evening). Wait at least 1 minute between inhalations. You should use this medication for as long as your doctor prescribed it. If there is no significant improvement after 4 weeks of regular use, you should contact your doctor.

You should not take Breztri Aerosphere and inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have or have had:
• A seizure;
• A weak immune system such as HIV/AIDS;
• A thyroid disorder;
• Diabetes;
• Enlarged prostate, urination problems;
• Glaucoma, cataracts, or other vision problems;
• Heart disease, high blood pressure;
• Liver or kidney disease;
• Osteoporosis;
• Tuberculosis

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this inhaler for your respiratory conditions. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Budesonide (active ingredient) passes into breastmilk. It is unknown if Glycopyrrolate or formoterol passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Tell your doctor about all the medications you use, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, herbal products, and vitamin supplements, to prevent drug interactions that might be fatal to your health. This drug interaction may make your drug less effective, cause adverse effects, or potentiate other drugs' action. There may be a drug interaction between Breztri Aerosphere and other drugs such as:
• Anticholinergics (including tiotropium, ipratropium, aclidinium, and umeclidinium)
• Atropine;
• Antifungal or HIV medication such as ketoconazole, griseofulvin, retrovir;
• Beta-blockers such as propanol, carvedilol, metoprolol;
• Other LABAs (including salmeterol, formoterol fumarate, arformoterol tartrate, vilanterol, olodaterol, and indacaterol)
