What is Nexavar used for?
Nexavar (Sorafenib) is a cancer medication that is used to treat liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. It is also used to treat thyroid cancer or a type of kidney cancer called advanced renal cell carcinoma. Sorafenib belongs to a group of medications called multikinase inhibitors. It works by interfering with the enzymes that are needed by the cancer cells to grow and spread.
