Nilandron (Nilutamide) is a prescription medicine used in combination with surgical castration (surgical removal of the testes) for the treatment of prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastasized). The active ingredient in Nilandron is Nilutamide. Nilutamide belongs to a class of drugs called Anti-androgen. It works by binding androgen receptors competitively and inhibits testosterone stimulation of cell growth in prostate cancer.
