    Simbrinza (Brinzolamide/Brimonidine Tartrate Opthalimic Solution) is a combination medication that is used to treat open-angle glaucoma or high pressure inside the eye. This medication contains Brinzolamide and Brimonidine. Brinzolamide belongs to a class of drugs known as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. Brimonidine belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha agonists. Lowering high pressure in the eye reduces the risk of vision loss, nerve damage, or blindness.

    The common side effects may include Bitter, sour or unusual taste in your mouth, blurred vision, discomfort in the eye, itching, redness, discharge, dry eyes, dry mouth, feelings as if something is in your eye, headache and tiredness. The serious side effects may include:

    • Extreme sensitivity to light;

    • Eye or eyelid pain, burning or swelling;

    • Fast or pounding heartbeat;

    • Vision changes

    You should not use Simbrinza Opthalmic Solution if you are allergic to Brinzolamide or Brimonidine or to Apraclonidine or if you have any other allergies. Simbrinza may make you dizzy or drowsy. You should drive or do any activity that requires you to be alert. Limit alcoholic beverages. Children may be more sensitive to the side effects of this medication. Simbrinza should not be used during pregnancy. It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk.
