Sofracort Eye/Ear Drops (Dexamethasone/Framycetin Sulfate/Gramicidin) is a prescription medicine used to kill bacteria that may cause certain eye and ear irritations, including scleritis, conjunctivitis, and other ocular infections. It is also used to treat otitis externa (external ear infection) and other inflammatory conditions of the ear. The active ingredients in Sofracort Eye/Ear Drops are Dexamethasone, Framycetin Sulfate, and Gramicidin. Framycetin (also known as neomycin B) and gramicidin antibiotics work by stopping bacteria growth. It also contains dexamethasone, an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling, and itching.
