What is Vandazole Used for?


Vandazole (Metronidazole) is a prescription medicine used to treat bacterial infections in the vagina (bacterial vaginosis). These infections can cause pain and discomfort. Bacterial vaginosis occurs when the natural bacterial levels in the vagina are out of balance. When too much bacteria grows, it can lead to bacterial vaginosis. The active ingredient in Vandazole is Metronidazole. Metronidazole belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics. It works by killing or stopping the growth of the bacteria causing bacterial vaginosis.

They do not allow air circulation. Wear loose-fitting clothing made of cotton and natural fibers till your infection is healed. If you use a breast pump during this time, throw out any milk you collect. Do not feed it to your baby. Vandazole is not safe for use in children younger than 12 years old or in girls who have not begun having menstrual periods.
