Dilacor XT is a medication used for the management of effort associated angina (chest pain) and treatment of mild to moderate blood pressure. Dilacor XT belongs to the group of drugs called “calcium channel blockers” or “calcium antagonists”. Dilacor XT relaxes the arteries, thereby lowering blood pressure. Swallow the capsules whole, do not crush or chew them. The usual starting dose for angina is 120 mg to 180 mg once a day and for high blood pressure, is between 180 mg to 240 mg once a day.
