What is Eulexin Used for?

Eulexin (Flutamide) is a prescription medicine used together with hormonal therapy to reduce the amount of testosterone in the body to treat prostate cancer. The active ingredient in Eulexin is Flutamide. Flutamide belongs to the class of medication called nonsteroidal antiandrogens (Antineoplastic anti-testosterone). Flutamide works by blocking the effects of testosterone, thereby slowing the growth and spread of prostate cancer. Prostate cancer cells require testosterone to grow and reproduce.
