Imdur Information

Imdur (Isosorbide Mononitrate) is used to prevent angina attacks (chest pain). Isosorbide Mononitrate is a nitrate medication. It works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, so blood can flow more easily to the heart.

Some common side effects of Imdur may include:

• Headache;

• Dizziness;

• Drowsiness; or

• Flushing

You should not take Imdur if you are allergic to isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, or nitroglycerine, or if you have had any early signs of heart attack. Do not take an erectile dysfunction mediation when on Imdur.
