Yaz Storage and Safety Information
Store Yaz at room temperature away from extreme heat, light, and moisture.
Taking this medication can increase your risk of blood clots, heart attack, and stroke. Smoking greatly increases those chances. Do not take Yaz if you smoke and are over 35 years old.
Yaz can be detected in breastmilk and may also slow down milk production of a nursing mother. Do not take Yaz if you are nursing an infant.
Do not take more than the prescribed dose. If you miss a pill, throw it away and keep taking your one reminder pill daily.
Seek emergency help or call Poison Control at 1-800-463-5060 immediately if you suspect an overdose. Overdose symptoms include nausea and vaginal bleeding.
This medication will not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases. Use a condom to protect yourself from HIV, AIDs, and other sexually transmitted diseases.
