What is Levitra?

This medication is part of a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It is mainly used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping a man achieve and maintain an erection during sexual stimulation.

Although the brand-name Levitra is currently unavailable at our pharmacy, we offer high-quality generic Vardenafil, such as Jamp-vardenafil, produced in Canada by Jamp Pharma. Please note that it does not increase sexual desire and does not provide protection against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

Available Strengths and Sizes

Both the brand-name and generic versions are available in 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg oral tablets.

Drug Interactions

Understanding how Latuda interacts with other substances is crucial for safe and effective treatment. The following medications may need close monitoring or dosage adjustments when taken together.
• Alpha-Blockers: Meds for prostate enlargement or high blood pressure (e.g., tamsulosin) can cause fainting when mixed with Vardenafil.
• Nitrates (Medication Blockers): Drugs for chest pain or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrate) can cause a life-threatening drop in blood pressure.
• Other ED Medications: Combining Vardenafil with sildenafil (Viagra) or tadalafil (Cialis) increases the risk of dangerously low blood pressure and priapism.

Other Notable Interactions:
• Antiarrhythmics: Drugs for irregular heartbeats (e.g., amiodarone) may interact with this medication to affect heart rhythm (QT interval).
• Antibiotics and Antifungals: Certain "Medication Blockers" like erythromycin or ketoconazole can spike Vardenafil levels in your system.
• Grapefruit Products: Grapefruit inhibits the enzymes that break down the drug, leading to higher-than-intended concentrations.
• HIV Protease Inhibitors: Meds like ritonavir (including Paxlovid) significantly slow the breakdown of Vardenafil and require strict dosage adjustments.
