Osteoporosis causes bones to become thinner and break more easily. Your chance of developing osteoporosis increases as you age, after menopause, or if you are taking corticosteroid medications for a long time. This medication works by slowing bone loss. This effect helps maintain strong bones and reduce the risk of broken bones (fractures). Take Binosto exactly as your doctor tells you. Binosto is taken 1 time each week. Choose the day of the week that best fits your schedule, then take Binosto on the same day every week. Binosto works only if you take it on an empty stomach. Take Binosto after you get up for the day and 30 minutes before taking your first food, drink, or other medicine. Take Binosto while you are sitting or standing.
